Mandatory registered envelope from 1942 from Agrobank in Tel Aviv with post cancellations, ”RETURN TO” marking, 5 and 10 mil stamps from the Mandate period and Tel Aviv registration seals – preserved condition - Mandatory registered envelope from 1942 from Agrobank in Tel Aviv with post cancellations, ”RETURN TO” marking, 5 and 10 mil stamps from the Mandate period and Tel Aviv registration seals – preserved condition Front side: An envelope from the ”AGROBANK” bank at 65 Allenby Street, Tel Aviv, was sent by registered mail to an address that is unclear and cannot be delivered in Tel Aviv. Three postage stamps of the British Mandate government in Israel were affixed: one stamp with a value of 5 mil with an illustration of the Citadel of David (red), and two stamps with a value of 10 mil each in a gray-green color with an illustration of Tomb of Rachel. The stamps were stamped with the Tel Aviv 1942 seal. At the top right is a registration postmark ”REGISTERED TEL AVIV” along with a registration label ”TEL AVIV 1 No. 8090”. In the center appears the destination address, which has been erased with a prominent red line in the shape of an X Back side: On the back of the envelope are several registration seals and transit seals. The markings in black and red ”RETURN TO” are prominent. At the bottom appears the Mandate Postal Service postmark indicating the reason for the return, and on which the categories ”UNKNOWN” are marked Preserved condition Condition according to the photos
