Each of the notes bears the portrait of Thomas Jefferson, the third President of the United States, on the front side, along with a green seal of the US Treasury Department. The back of the note features a famous historical work: the United States Declaration of Independence from 1776, depicting members of Congress signing the document, with the inscription ”Declaration of Independence, 1776”.
