Height: 2.5 cm, Weight: 8.7 g - Lithuania - Cubic Hanukkah dreidel with Star of David, 19th century. Found near Vilna. Metal (likely pewter). Height: 2.5 cm, Weight: 8.7 g An exceptionally early Hanukkah dreidel originating from the Jewish community of Vilna, in northeastern Europe, and dating to the 19th century. The dreidel is cast from metal, most likely pewter, and displays a heavy, natural patina consistent with significant age. The body is shaped as a small cube with deeply embossed sides. Each of the four Hebrew letters נ (Nun), ג (Gimel), ה (Hey), ש (Shin) appears prominently on a separate face, each letter set within a clearly defined Star of David border in raised relief. The handle is cylindrical and proportionally long for a dreidel of this size, crafted from the same metal and showing uniform, natural wear. The base is slightly rounded and pointed, designed for smooth spinning. Condition: Good, with aged patina throughout. Refer to photos.
