Pair of oval silver-plated serving trays, made of base metal with silver plating, in a clean classic design suitable for 20th-century European serving wares. The trays have a wide oval form, a raised stepped rim and decorated borders. Large tray weight: 455 grams. One of the trays bears a model mark / production number 10539, alongside a triangular mark with the letters CH. The additional tray bears a maker’s mark in the form of a small crown-shaped symbol with the letter W in a monogram above a base. The trays are suitable for use as serving pieces for a dining or entertaining table, for cakes, fruit, pastries, refreshments or decorative display. The oval design and raised borders give them a classic, practical and presentable appearance. General condition: preserved. Signs of age and use, surface scratches, oxidation spots, patina and local wear to the silver plating. Condition as shown in the photos.
