The first note is denominated 50 Syrian Piastres / Half Syrian Livre, in blue-turquoise color, with inscriptions in French and Arabic, serial number and signatures. The back features architectural ornaments and the denomination 50 in the center. The second note is denominated 25 Syrian Piastres / Quarter Syrian Livre, in red color, with inscriptions in French and Arabic, serial number and signatures. The back features decorative ornaments and the denomination 25. The banknotes belong to the early issues of the République Syrienne, from the period of the French Mandate and the transition toward independent Syrian rule.
