The front features the inscriptions Reichsbanknote and Ein Tausend Mark, the denomination 1000 in the center and on the sides, decorative ornaments, Reichsbank seals and signatures of the bank management. The back features two allegorical figures beside the German eagle shield, rich decorative ornaments and the denomination 1000 on both sides. The second note is denominated 100 Mark, dated February 7, 1908, with green seals and green serial number. The front features the inscriptions Reichsbanknote and Ein Hundert Mark, the denomination 100, a large central ornament and signatures of the Reichsbank management.
