The back features the inscription Central Bank of Syria and Five Syrian Pounds, an illustration of the Citadel of Aleppo, the denomination 5 and the year 1963. The second note is denominated 1 Syrian Pound, in brown-purple color, with Arabic inscription on the front, the denomination 1 Pound, an illustration of a worker / industrial figure beside a machine, serial number and signatures. The back features the inscription Central Bank of Syria and One Syrian Pound, an illustration of a waterwheel / noria, the denomination 1 and the year 1963.
