Poland - Lot of 3 banknotes of 1 Polish Marka, Warsaw 1916-1919, issued by Kasa Pożyczkowa / Polska Krajowa Kasa Pożyczkowa - from the World War I period and the transition to Polish independence - Poland - Lot of 3 banknotes of 1 Polish Marka, Warsaw 1916-1919, issued by Kasa Pożyczkowa / Polska Krajowa Kasa Pożyczkowa - from the World War I period and the transition to Polish independence The first note is dated December 9, 1916, Warsaw, issued by Zarząd Jenerał-Gubernatorstwa Warszawskiego. The front features the Polish eagle emblem within a red shield, the inscription Jedna Marka Polska, the denomination 1 on both sides, signatures of the officials, and a warning against counterfeiting at the bottom. The back features a central ornament with the eagle emblem, the denomination 1 on both sides, and the inscription Jedna Marka Polska. The other 2 notes are denominated 1 Marka Polska, issued by Bilet Krajowej Polskiej Kasy Pożyczkowej, with a colorful blue and red design, side portraits, the denomination 1 in the center, serial number, and rich decorative ornaments. The banknotes belong to the early issues of Poland during and after World War I, from the period of the establishment of the Second Polish Republic and the formation of the local currency system after years of foreign rule.
