Among the countries and regions represented in the album are Romania, Switzerland, Poland, Slovenia, Hungary, Slovakia, Yugoslavia, Turkey, the Soviet Union, Russia and the Netherlands, featuring a wide variety of denominations, years, periods and coin series. A particularly significant and interesting section of the album is dedicated to the Soviet Union and Russia, featuring an extensive collection of commemorative coins. This section includes dozens of 1, 3 and 5 Roubles coins covering various historical, cultural and national themes. The Russian collection also includes BU and Proof issues, as well as coins from special series, including the “Red Book” series, dedicated to rare and endangered animal species. This is a highly diverse collection featuring coins from different periods and political regimes – from 20th-century European countries through Yugoslavia and the Soviet Union to modern Russia. The combination of circulation coins, commemorative issues and special series makes this an especially interesting lot for both beginning and experienced collectors. The collection has not been thoroughly examined or individually catalogued, so among the hundreds of coins there may be interesting dates, varieties, minting errors, special issues and other items of numismatic interest. This lot is particularly suitable for collectors who enjoy examining large collections, completing series, identifying different varieties and searching for interesting coins that have not been individually researched.
