Initially, ATS members served in administrative, catering, and supply roles, but their responsibilities later expanded to include radar operation, anti-aircraft searchlight operation, military driving, vehicle maintenance, and other technical support duties. In 1941, the ATS was granted full military status. Among its most famous members was Princess Elizabeth, later Queen Elizabeth II, who trained and served as a driver and mechanic. Obverse: The intertwined ATS monogram is displayed at the center, enclosed within a laurel wreath and surmounted by the Tudor Crown (King's Crown), symbolizing the reign of King George VI. The laurel wreath represents honor and victory. Reverse: Fitted with its original fastening mechanism for attachment to a military service cap or beret. Condition: Well preserved.
