Tiziano Vecellio (1485-1576), Landscape with Figures of Angels - Sepia on paper Signed at the bottom, with a stamp from the Blanco Museum, Italy. Ink on paper, signed in the center ”Titian.” This piece was created to be displayed on the walls of the main cathedral in Venice. After renovations at the site, the artwork was transferred to the Blanco Museum in Italy (1921-1961). From there, it was purchased by Gaud and became part of his private collection, which included numerous works from the period. Notes: This work by Titian depicts the mother of Jesus, with angels weeping beside her and hovering above, holding grape branches in their hands. She lies beneath a tree, facing the church.
