Technique: Aus zwei Laubholz-Brettern zusammengefügtes Bildfeld mit zwei Stirnseiten-Sponki. Ölmalerei. Silberoklad

A SMALL ICON SHOWING ST. NICHOLAS OF MYRA WITH A SILVER OKLAD Russian, mid 19th century (icon), Russian, St. Petersburg, Pavel Fedorovitch Sazikov, 1860 (oklad) Oil on wood panel. Overlaid with a finely chased and embossed silver oklad. Marked with city hallmark, assayer’s mark, 84 standard and master’s mark ‘SASIKOV’ in Cyrillic with Imperial warrant. Minimally restored. 17.8 x 14.5 cm.
