A late 20th-century oak extending trestle dining table - An extending dining table of late 20th-century manufacture, designed in a traditional trestle style. The table features a rectangular top with rounded, moulded edges and a decorative book-matched wood veneer arranged in a starburst or diamond grain pattern. The piece is constructed from a light-toned hardwood, possibly oak, finished with a warm honey-coloured stain. It is supported by a twin-trestle base where each end consists of two turned supports connected by a decorative cross-member featuring a central carved foliate motif. The supports rest on flat, wide base rails. The table is accompanied by one removable extension leaf, which shows a darker, unfinished underside. The lot is currently disassembled, with the top and base components separate.
