Edwardian Oak Dressing Chest - An Edwardian oak dressing chest, dating to the early 20th century. The piece is constructed from oak with a visible straight grain to the drawer fronts and top surface. The upper section features a rectangular swivel mirror with a triple-arched top rail, held between two turned uprights topped with simple finials. Below the mirror sits a low backboard decorated with a central carved foliate motif. The base of the chest contains three graduated, full-width drawers, each fitted with a pair of brass drop handles on ornate, shaped backplates. The chest is raised on four square, slightly tapered legs. A white rectangular label is affixed to the mirror glass with the handwritten characters 938 and 3028.
