Antique Dome Top Metal Steamer Trunk with Wood Slats - A vintage metal steamer trunk featuring a traditional dome-top lid reinforced with longitudinal wooden slats. The construction consists of sheet metal panels joined with metal strapping and secured by numerous rivets. The front is fitted with a central metal latch, and recessed metal lifting handles are integrated into the side panels. The exterior displays remnants of a brown painted finish over a heavily oxidised surface, while the interior is coated in a contrasting blue paint. A blue-bordered white label with handwritten characters and an auction label from Liskeard Auction Rooms identifying the piece as Lot 844 are affixed to the exterior. No manufacturer marks are visible.
