An Assortment of Natural History Specimens and Polished Mineral Samples - An assortment of natural history specimens and polished mineral items, typical of a naturalist collection. The group includes a natural purple acorn barnacle cluster, likely Megabalanus species, featuring characteristic vertical ribbing and a pink and off-white striped colouration with large open apertures. The collection also contains a polished cross-section of an agate geode, which features a thick, dark brown chalcedony outer rim and concentric bands of translucent light grey and white around a small central vug with quartz crystals. Also included are six polished zebra ironstone tumbled specimens showing distinct banding in tan and dark brown tones, and a collection of tumbled red jasper stones in various shades of brick red, cream, and brown. The lot further comprises an assortment of polished tiger's eye cabochons and decorative buttons, including several mounted on metal bases and a larger specimen of blue hawk's eye. Two additional containers hold mineral samples including a rough crystalline quartz cluster, tumbled clear quartz, and matte white mineral specimens. Weight: 430g (agate geode).
