Vintage Blue Painted Steel Bench Mounted Lathe Jig - A mid-20th century industrial bench-mounted tool, designed as a specialised lathe or rod-holding jig. The unit is constructed from a heavy-gauge steel C-channel base finished in blue paint. It features a central guide rail that supports two main components: a fixed headstock assembly and a sliding tailstock assembly. The headstock includes a hand-adjustable threaded spindle with a large knurled knob and a handle for tensioning. The sliding tailstock is equipped with a locking L-shaped handle and a circular threaded tension nut for securing it along the rail. The blue casing bears a white rectangular adhesive label with a handwritten blue numeral 7. No manufacturer names, patent dates, or stamps are visible on the steel or cast iron components.
