A FRENCH BAYONET FOR CHASSEPOT RIFLE MODEL 1866
A French Chassepot rifle bayonet Mod.1866. The bayonet has a “yataghan” blade. The hilt is ribbed brass, and the sheath is steel. The crossguard has one long curving quillon.
