A RUSSIAN ORTHODOX SILVER TRYPTICH 19TH C.
Russian pendant made as a miniature silver triptych. On the outside, the shutters are decorated with a relief ornament in the traditional Russian style. Inside there are three images, painted in oil on a gold background: in the center, Jesus Christ, and two saints on the sides. On the reverse side there is an engraving in Russian: "From a sister" and hallmarks: 84 silver standard next to a woman's head in a kokoshnik, turned to the right, and the master's initials "BO".
Dimensions: 2 3/4 x 1 11/16 in., (6 x 4.3 cm.)
Condition: Excellent.
