A RUSSIAN PORCELAIN FLOWERPOT BY POPOV MANUFACTORY, 19TH CEN.
A brilliantly decorated porcelain flowerpot painted with remarkably detailed depictions of floral arrangements with a border of stylized gilt vines and dots, the lower half of the piece being painted royal blue. The rim is gilt, as is the detachable base which has filigree patterns. The bottom of both the vase and the base are marked with the Popov maker's mark, the Cyrillic initials of Alexander Popov.
