A FRENCH EMPIRE STYLE CASSOLETTE LAMP, LATE 19TH CEN.

A Directoire gilt and patinated bronze twin-handled amphora. The body is ovoid with a gilt band across the center that connects to the twin handles. Now mounted as a table lamp and fitted for electricity. The entire piece stands on a green and red marble socle with four bronze feet.
