A RUSSIAN ORTHODOX ICON OF SAINT NICHOLAS OF MYRA WITH SILVER OKLAD, MOSCOW, 1891 - A late 19th-century Russian Orthodox icon depicting Saint Nicholas of Myra, also known as the Wonderworker, with the blessing figures of the Virgin Mary and Jesus Christ. Egg tempera, gesso, and levkas on a wooden board. The icon is enclosed in a silver riza or oklad with etched and filigree decor.
