A LARGE ITALIAN CARVED WOOD-LIDDED CHEST, 19TH CENTURY
A large Italian chest carved from walnut wood with a dark stain finish. Fine Pietra Dura plaques depicting birds and flowers are on each side of the chest. The chest can be locked with a key via a keyhole behind a shield-formed cartouche on one side of the chest. The interior is lined with a red velvet material.
