AN ALABASTER CARVING OF AN INFANT CHILD, CA. 17TH CENTURY
A carved alabaster sculpture depicting the image of an infant child or cherub. The infant is depicted with short curly hair, leaning backward, and pulling upon a chain. The marble plinth and brass stem are later additions used for display purposes. The sculpture itself was possibly part of a larger piece.
