A PAIR OF BURNERS INCLUDING A PIGEON LAMP AND AN OIL LAMP BASE, 19TH CENTURY
A pair of burners including the famous Pigeon Lamp, an invention by French entrepreneur Charles Pigeon which was intended to be a safer affordable lamp that was fueled by mineral spirits. The other burner appears to be the triangular copper base of a large oil lamp, part of the wick still being extant.
France, 19th Century.
