A PRUSSIAN MODEL 1871 3RD GUARDS PICKELHAUBE (HELMET) - This 1871 model is a standard black japanned leather shell issue with a black rounded leather liner. The hardware and trim are of brass make, with the distinctive swept-eagle Wappen (front plate) that is a standard for Prussian Guard Pickelhaubes. Marked on the inside of the back visor.
