A FRENCH MEMENTO MORI DAGGER WITH A GILT BRONZE SCULPTURAL HILT, 19TH CEN. - A French memento mori dagger with a sculptural hilt in gilt-brass which depicts a woman in a seductive pose to one side of the grip, and a robed figure of death on the other. The quillons are shaped as perched harpies. The pommel is decoratively molded and bears two face motifs. France, 19th Century. Please make all inquiries before bidding.
