AN OTTOMAN CRETE DAGGER WITH ORNATE SILVER MOUNTS, 19TH CEN. - A dagger from Ottoman era Crete, in a traditional style with the grip scales appearing similar to those on a yataghan. The blade and the silver mounts are all intricately chased with various patterns, while the silver scabbard is done in fine repoussé technique with a sculpted zoomorphic finial.
