A FINE WOOTZ BLADED PERSIAN KHANJAR DAGGER WITH CARVED BONE HANDLE, EARLY 19TH CEN. - A finely crafted khanjar dagger with a wootz blade which has been chased with intricate geometric foliate patterns in characteristic Islamic style. The bone handle is carved with scenes of couples and animals, one of the couples also having a child. The guard and pommel are decorated with Arabic lettering.
