A WOOTZ BLADED PERSIAN AZERBAIDJAN KHANJAR WITH A CARVED BONE HANDLE, 18TH CENTURY - A Persian khanjar dagger with a wootz steel blade and a finely carved bone handle with scenes of couples under an umbrella on each side along with Arabic lettering to the guard. The pommel is affixed with a silver cap which may be a later addition. Underneath the silver cap is a carved floral design in the bone. Iran, Islamic World, 18th century.
