A PERSIAN WOOTZ BLADED KHANJAR DAGGER WITH SILVER AND NIELLO SHEATH, 19TH CEN. - Persian Khanjar dagger with an engraved silver and niello scabbard. It has two suspension rings similar to the Moroccan style. The blade is with a pronounced ridge of fine Wootz steel. Traditional carved handle with human figures and Arabic inscriptions. A list of recommended shippers will be provided. Dimensions: L: 14 1/2 in., (36.8 cm.) Condition: The dagger appears to be in very good condition overall with some slight pitting. The blade fits the scabbard well. The silver sheath has a slight crack at the tip. The hilt is well preserved with only a couple of small cracks.
