A PAIR OF 18TH CENTURY MEISSEN BRONZE AND ENAMEL CANDLESTICKS - A Pair of Candlesticks with Children, Meissen, circa 1765. Designed by Friedrich Elias I Meyer figurine. Porcelain, polychromed and gilt, mounted in a gilt-bronze pair of candlesticks with a pair of flirting figures in an arcade basket and metal-mounted porcelain flowers. Model by Johann Joachim Kaendler 1750-1755, marks not visible due to the mount, figures with several chipped areas Dimensions: H: 5 3/4 in., (14.6 cm.) Please make all inquiries before bidding. Condition: The candlestick with the male figure has signs of restoration to one arm. Otherwise, porcelain parts are in good condition with only a few chips. The gilt-bronze is in fine condition, with no signs of restoration.
