A VARIETY OF FINELY CRAFTED OTTOMAN TOBACCO PIPE PARTS IN AN ANTIQUE LEATHER BAG, 19TH CENTURY - A variety of finely crafted tobacco pipe parts from the Ottoman Empire. There are two carved bone or horn stems, two carved stone pieces with gilt decoration, a silver bowl with an extremely intricate silver filigree cage, and a stunningly beautiful carved horn bowl mounted with intricated silver and niello decoration, brass and silver pins, and painted bone inserts, also being affixed with a silver chain with two silver and niello tubes which would have been mounted on a stem. The whole collection is kept within a remarkably preserved leather bag with embroidered lettering and a drawstring affixed with a blue tassel. Ottoman Empire, c. 19th Century.
