The Bikaner School of Painting is a style of Indian painting that originated in the city of Bikaner Rajasthan. It is closely related to Mughal paintings and developed in the 17th century. The subjects of Bikaner paintings are often court portraits or illustrations of Hindu texts. Bikaner School of Painting declined in popularity due to the rise of photography and company paintings.
