Kangra painting is a style of miniature painting that originated in the Kangra region of Himachal Pradesh, India. Kangra paintings were known for their delicate brushwork, vivid colors and focus on Hindu mythology. This distinct style of painting was patronized by the former Princely State of Kangra. This school was influenced by Vaishnavite traditions and also influenced by the Mughal style of paintings.
