The variety of photos ranges from images of the Afrika Corps in North Africa, Italy, and Sicily to notable locations such as El-Alamain and Tobruk. The second half shows the travel and documentation of the soldier as a POW taken to the USA, his imprisonment, and his eventual return to Germany.
