A RARE ITALIAN FORGED-IRON LINSTOCK PIKE HEAD, 17TH CENTURY

A linstock lance or spearhead polearm with a double-edged spear, a pierced central line. The linstock was used with early artillery and its primary purpose was to hold the slow match used to ignite a cannon’s powder charge.
