A RUSSIAN ORTHODOX ICON OF CHRIST PANTOCRATOR IN SILVER OKLAD, 19TH CEN. - 19th century Russian icon of Christ Pantocrator. The icon is hand-painted in oil on a wood panel, overlaid with a repousse and embossed silver oklad or riza, and with applied gilt-silver halo with pierced-through decor. Hallmarks: 84 silver standard, George the Victorious for Moscow, maker's mark ”CB.” Comes in a wood and glass display case. Circa 1875. Please make all inquiries before bidding.
