A 19TH C. CURRIER AND IVES LITHOGRAPH PRINT, AMERICAN WINTER SCENE, FRAMED - A 19th-century hand-colored lithograph print of an American winter scene. The artwork depicts children playing in the snow along a road amongst a horse-drawn sleigh and a pair of Oxen pulling wooden boards. An old Federal style building can be seen on the hill behind them all. Lithographed and published by Currier and Ives (American, 1835 - 1907). Note: Currier and Ives was a New York City printmaking business that operated between 1835 and 1907. Founded by Nathaniel Currier, the company designed and sold inexpensive, hand-painted lithographic works based on news events, and views of popular culture and Americana.
