A CHINESE EXPORT PORCELAIN TEA CADDY JAR, 19TH CENTURY - A large hand-painted porcelain jar with a lid, used for the housing of tobacco. Pictures of a boy and his dog in front of a landscape adorn the main body of the jar in rich colors of blue, gold, red, and turquoise. The picture is framed within a Greek key border reminiscent of designs seen on Ancient Greek tiling or pottery.
