A WASSILY KANDINSKY ATTR MIXED MEDIA ON PAPER PAINTING, 1922 - Wassily Kandinsky (attr), a mixed media on paper abstract drawing. Signed and dated by the author lower left ”V.K. 1922”. Wassily Wassilyevich Kandinsky (1866-1944) was a Russian and French artist and theorist, one of the pioneers of abstraction in Western art. After successful avant-garde exhibitions, he founded the influential Munich group Der Blaue Reiter - The Blue Rider, 1911–14, and began completely abstract painting.
