A PHILIPINO SULU OR MINDANAO WAR SPEAR
Spear for warfare, maybe from Sulu or Mindanao, Philippines (see Plate 6, no. 12 in The Collection of Primitive Weapons and Armor of the Philippine Islands in the United States National Museum, Smithsonian Institution; 1926: United States National Museum Bulletin No. 137). Dark wood haft, at its center a long handle, possibly made in sennit, colored red. Large spearhead, leaf-shaped with a central ridge. Its edge is silver in color, and the center is darker. Some rusty marks. Pointed tip.
