Bidspirit auction | A 16TH CENTURY EUROPEAN CHAIN
A 16TH CENTURY EUROPEAN CHAIN MAIL SHIRT, PROBABLY ITALIAN - A fairly well-preserved European chainmail hauberk (shirt) with short sleeves, retaining its leather cord at the collar and down the front, as well as its buckles. Continental Europe, probably Italy, 16th century. Please make all inquiries before bidding. All lots are sold ”as-is”, refer to our T&C. Helios Auctions does not ship in-house. A list of recommended shippers will be provided. Dimensions: H: 27 in., (68.5 cm.) Condition: Good condition for age with some small sections of missing links. The chainmail is strong and retains its leather cording at the neck and chest.
