AN INDIAN RAJPUT TULWAR SWORD WITH A GILT HILT, 19TH/20TH CENTURY - An Indian tulwar with a brightly gilt hilt, its blade chased across the entirety of its surface with scenes of fighting animals. The zoomorphic hilt of gilt brass, sculpted to appear as a creature eating a fish, the fish acting as the knucklebow. The entire hilt decoratively chased, the grip with floral decoration, the creature and fish with scales. Blade kept within a scabbard lined with red fabric and mounted with pierced gilt fixtures.
