A GILT ITALIAN ARMORIAL SWORD, NOVATI TORINO, 20TH CENTURY - With a bright, highly detailed, gilt bronze hilt, sculpted to appear as a deity, possibly a stylized depiction of Mithras given the type of cap. This deity is standing between two reclining men who act as the quillons of the guard, with a proud lion standing between them and above an armorial symbol of a bear in front of a cypress tree. The blade is long and wavy, with no apparent decoration. Italy, first half of the 20th century. Please make all inquiries before bidding. All lots are sold ”as-is”, refer to our T&C.
