A FINE CARVED-WOOD FRENCH SNUFF BOX, 18TH CENTURY - A French carved-wood snuff box decorated with beautiful foliate motifs throughout, a portrait of a male in profile at the center of the lid. This style of snuffbox flourished in the 18th century and was often produced by non-professional craftsmen, such as soldiers and sailors.
