A JAPANESE GROUPING, SILVER CRANES ON BRONZE BASE, 20TH CENTURY - A finely crafted grouping of nicely detailed silver cranes sat atop a bronze base sculpted to appear as a craggy rock, likely meant to be by the water as it depicts signs of erosion. The bronze base is itself set atop a circular red-lacquer platform with three curved black-lacquer feet. The bronze is signed to one side with three kanji characters. Japan, 20th century.
