A HARIETTE G. MILLER, AMERICAN PARCEL GILT BRONZE SCULPTURE, ”ADAM AND EVE,” 1927 - Harriette G. Miller (American, 1892 - 1971), a patinated and gilt bronze sculpture of the nude couple Adam and Eve embracing a tree, signed to the base ”H.G. Miller, ” dated ”1927,” and marked ”(c) Cire Perdue C. Valsuani” to the base. Note: Harriet G. Miller studied at the Cleveland School of Art and Picard Le Doux in Paris and then had many solo exhibits during her career, including at Kraushaar Galleries in New York City, the Philadelphia Academy of Fine Arts, and the Chicago Art Institute. She was a member of N. A. Women's PS Grand Central Art Gallery. Her work was included in the 1939 New York World's Fair. Please make all inquiries before bidding.
