A BRONZE BY DERUJINSKY, RUSSIAN, OF SEATED LADY DIANA COOPER, 1922 - Gleb Derujinsky, a bronze sculpture depicting seated Lady Diana Cooper, an English silent film actress and aristocrat, a well-known socialite in London and Paris. Signed by the author, dated 1922 and inscribed ”NY” on the base. Gleb Derujinsky (1888-1975) was a Russian and American sculptor. Derujinsky began his artistic studies in the Imperial Society for the Encouragement of the Arts in Saint Petersburg in 1896. He moved to Paris in 1912, where he continued his studies at the Academie Colarossi and at the Academie Julian. His original sculptures in plaster done from life include Theodore Roosevelt, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Sergei Prokofiev, Lillian Gish, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Adlai Stevenson, John F.
