A CARVED MAHOGANY SCULPTURE BY DERUJINSKY TITLED 'ANNUNCIATION', 1926 - Gleb Derujinsky, a carved mahogany wood sculpture depicting a Biblical Annunciation scene. Signed by the artist ”G. Derujinsky” and dated 1926. Gleb Derujinsky (1888-1975) was a Russian and American sculptor. Derujinsky began his artistic studies in the Imperial Society for the Encouragement of the Arts in Saint Petersburg in 1896. He moved to Paris in 1912, where he continued his studies at the Academie Colarossi and at the Academie Julian. His original sculptures in plaster done from life include Theodore Roosevelt, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Sergei Prokofiev, Lillian Gish, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Adlai Stevenson, John F.
